What services does Amanda's Florist provide?

We provide comprehensive event design. We are a full service florist and design
studio. We can coordinate any rentals such as linens, chairs, draping, lighting, etc, if
you do not have a wedding coordinator or the venue itself does not provide this
service. We also have our own inventory of props and rental items available.

How many events do you do in a week?

I don't take on more work than I can personally be involved with. I like to be the one
touching the flowers, making the bride’s bouquet, choosing ribbon. There is only so
much work one can take on and still offer the detail and quality that we are about.
Typically this is no more than two weddings per week.

What made you want to work with flowers?

I am utterly passionate about flowers. To me, they are the most gorgeous creations on
the planet. My staff feels the same and I so appreciate my staff and our shared
infatuation with flowers.

From where do you draw inspiration?

I draw inspiration from so many places….the flowers themselves, a bride’s dress, the
style of a venue, fashion, textiles, and above all from nature.

What is distinctive about Amanda's Florist?

I make it a point to hire staff with an artistic background. We enjoy the challenge of
making an event unique and creating the most elegant designs.

How should I budget for decor?

The events we do typically range from 20– 30 % of the overall budget. In addition to
the floral elements, one should budget for rentals and consider lighting to fully
accomplish the look of beauty.

How far in advance should I book a consultation?

As soon as you decide on the date of your event, start looking for your florist and
other vendors. Finding an event designer that brings your vision to reality is your most
important step. We book events more than a year in advance, as well as the
occasional last minute calls.
